The Department of Power Supply at the Educational and Research Institute of Energy Saving and Energy Management cooperates with energy companies, equipment manufacturers and engineering organisations. DTEK Renewables: Renewable Energy Laboratory
On 11 February 2025, DTEK Renewables and the Institute opened a renewable energy laboratory covering solar and wind energy. The company funded energy storage systems, solar panels, an inverter and meteorological measurement equipment. The cooperation is based on a memorandum dated 9 August 2024. A further outcome was a weather station whose equipment was assembled and configured by department staff and students for laboratory work and research on solar irradiance, wind and temperature. More about the weather station.
NIK-ELECTRONIKA LLC: Research Equipment
The company donated a voltage stabiliser to the Department’s power supply systems laboratory, supporting the facilities used to study modern electrical equipment. Vaillant Group: Energy Supply Technologies
The energy supply technologies laboratory was established together with Vaillant Group. Its teaching facilities cover heat pumps, solar collectors, condensing boilers, domestic hot water preparation and thermal storage.
