Three IEE students, enrolled in the bachelor's program “Energy Management and Energy Efficient Technologies,” studied at the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN) during the fall semester of the 2025/2026 as participants in the Erasmus+ academic mobility project. Svitlana Vlasiuk, Andrii Romanov, and Kyrylo Cherniavskyi, second-year students at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, share their impressions of the educational process at USN, their experience of studying in English in a multicultural academic environment, and everyday life in Norway after returning to Ukraine.

From 25 to 29 November 2025, representatives of the Department of Electric Power Supply of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Energy Engineering of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute took part in the On-Campus DAAD MERIT-Ukraine Energy Workshop, held at Leibniz Universität Hannover (LUH), one of Germany’s leading technical universities. The program was intensive and combined presentations, laboratory visits, discussions on joint educational programs, as well as the development of areas for scientific cooperation in energy, electric power systems, power electronics, hydrogen technologies, and high-voltage engineering. Participants learned about the history and structure of LUH, the activities of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, the LiFe2050 Energy Research Center, and the double-degree program “Renewable Energy and Electrical Power Engineering.” Special attention was devoted to the organization of the educational process, academic mobility, and the presentation of the experience of the first KPI student currently studying at LUH within the exchange program.

On 9 July 2025, the kick-off online meeting of the international project “MERIT-Ukraine: Mechatronics, Energy, Robotics, and Innovation Technologies with Ukraine” (sub-project: Energy) was held. The project is supported by the new programme of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) “German-Ukrainian University Network” (2025–2029).

The project coordinator is Leibniz University Hannover, and the initiative is being implemented in partnership with two Ukrainian technical universities: the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” and Lviv Polytechnic National University.

On January 16, 2025, during the meeting of the specialized academic council D 26.002.20 at the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute," the public defense of the dissertation by Derevyanko Denys Hryhorovych took place. The dissertation, titled "Development of Scientific Principles for Optimal Interaction of Distributed Energy Resources in Local Power Systems," was submitted for Doctor of Technical Sciences in the specialty 05.14.01 – Energy Systems and Complexes.

We congratulate Denys Hryhorovych on this significant achievement and wish him career growth and further scientific accomplishments!

On November 18-19, 2024, the Department of Power Supply students Yana BOSENKO, Anastasiia KHORENKO, Yuliia ONYSHCHENKO, and Elizaveta TUPOTINA participated in the 9th National Conference of Young Energy Professionals (OKME), held at the Innovation Center of Warsaw University of Technology. This event, organized by the Scientific Circle of Energy Engineers at Warsaw University of Technology, is the only one of its kind in Poland, bringing together representatives of leading energy institutions, companies, and young researchers.

On November 12, 2024, teachers and students of the Department of Power Supply attended a webinar on the topic "Energy Management in Wartime Conditions: Opportunities and Prospects for Ukraine's Industry." The event was organized by the European-Ukrainian Energy Agency (EUEA) with the support of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO Ukraine) project "Implementation of the Energy Management Systems Standard in Ukraine’s Industry."
