Biographical Information
Zakladnyi Oleg graduated in 2005 from the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" with a degree in "Energy Management" and earned the qualification of "Master of Electrical Engineering." From 2002 to 2004, he worked as an engineer at NTUU "KPI" part-time. From 2005 to 2007, he served as a structurally separated division of "Energy distribution " of JSC "Kyivenergo." From 2007 to 2010, he was a postgraduate student and worked as an assistant at the Power Supply Department National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute." On April 11, 2011, at the specialized academic council of the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute," he defended his Ph.D. thesis in the specialty 05.09.03 – "Electrotechnical Complexes and Systems" on the topic "Functional Diagnostics of Electromechanical Systems with Asynchronous Motors." After defending his Ph.D. thesis, he worked as an assistant, senior lecturer, and since 2012, as an associate professor at the Department of Power Supply. He was awarded the academic title of associate professor in 2014. His total scientific and pedagogical experience exceeds 17 years. Author of over 200 publications, including 3 textbooks, 5 monographs, 7 copyright certificates, 20 study guides, including more than 70 articles published in scientific specialized journals, and 4 publications in the Scopus database.
Winner of the NTUU "KPI" contest "Young Teacher -Researcher" in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014.
Received the academic title of associate professor of the Power Supply Department (decision of the Attestation Board of the Ministry of Education and Science, protocol №6/02D dated September 23, 2014, certificate of associate professor 12DC №039796).
In 2019, the textbook "Energy Audit," co-authored by O. Zakladnyi, received the 2nd prize in the "Best Textbook of KPI named after Igor Sikorsky" contest.
Since 01.09.2012 – to present – Associate Professor of the Power Supply Department.
Participated in international projects "Tempus," "Energy -Efficient Universities," "Ukrainian-Norwegian Cooperation in Higher Education for Sustainable Energy Development," numerous research works, and the organization of scientific conferences.
Scientific interests
Energy efficiency and technical diagnostics of electromechanical systems, energy management and auditing, regulatory support for energy efficiency in Ukraine and the EU, energy efficiency project management, renewable energy sources and energy storage systems, distributed generation, metrology, and measurement tools for energy audit, smart grids, power quality, building energy efficiency, market segment analytics for electricity, investment and financial analysis of energy -saving projects, certification of enterprise energy management systems to ISO standards.
Educational activities
Zakladnyi Oleg conducts lectures, practical, and laboratory classes. The main courses he teaches are: "Energy Saving in Production and Distribution Systems of Electric Power," "Energy Saving Technologies in Industry," "Fundamentals of Metrology and Electrical Measurements," "Information Systems and Technologies in Energy," "Energy Audit," "Electricity Consumers," "Energy -Efficient Technologies for Electricity Consumption." His teaching activities correspond to the main direction of the department.
He supervises course and diploma projects (including master's theses). Supervises pre-graduate internships and reviews qualification works.
