The department scientific student circle "Smart Grid systems with sources of distributed generation" is a voluntary association of students of higher education and employees of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, united by a common interest in scientific activity in the field of energy.
The department scientific student circle "Information technologies of energy consumption management" is aimed at research and implementation of advanced information technologies, optimization and effective management of energy consumption.
The department scientific student circle "Digital Electricity" is aimed at research and implementation of advanced information technologies and effective management of energy consumption.
The work of the "Smart Grid System with Distributed Generation Sources" scientific student circle aims at:
Conducting joint scientific research, experimental and innovative developments, etc. with departments, scientific and research institutions.
Acquiring new scientific knowledge through conducting scientific research and development and directing it to the creation and implementation of new competitive technologies, types of equipment, materials, etc. to ensure innovative development of society, training of innovative specialists.
Ensuring favorable conditions for the development and organization of cultural leisure, physical education of students , their intellectual development in the student environment of KPI named after Ihor Sikorskyi.
Popularization of scientific activity among student youth, promotion of the involvement of students, in particular, among younger courses, in scientific and innovative activities.
Preparation of student youth for independent engineering work.
Organization and holding of scientific competitions, public lectures, scientific readings at the university , seminars, Olympiads, festivals, exhibitions with the involvement of students, teachers and employees of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
Promotion of student participation in international and all-Ukrainian competitions for student scientific works in the natural, technical, humanities, international and all-Ukrainian olympiads, competitions, contests.
In-depth study by students of the chosen discipline. Obtaining competitive scientific and scientific-applied results.
Presentation of publications in collections that are indexed by scientometric databases.
The circle of scientific direction performs the following tasks:
Preparation and participation of students in all-Ukrainian and international conferences, Olympiads, competitions, etc.
Preparation and participation in conferences indexed by scientometric databases.
Preparation and publication in professional publications of categories A and B and publications indexed by scientometric databases and Scopus. Issuing and obtaining patents for inventions.
As part of the work of the group "Smart Grid systems with sources of distributed generation", students visit facilities of the energy industry and engage in scientific research within the framework of the group's topics.

Scientific circle "Information technologies of energy consumption management" is aimed at research and implementation of advanced information technologies, optimization and effective management of energy consumption.
The main goal of the "Information technologies for energy consumption management" group is the analysis and use of modern technological solutions to reduce energy consumption, increase the sustainability of energy supply and reduce the negative impact on the environment.
The main tasks and activities of the scientific group:
- Research of modern information technologies. Graduates of the department conduct an analysis of existing innovative solutions in the energy industry, such as "smart home" systems, remote monitoring systems, energy conservation technologies in combination with renewable sources.
- Development and implementation of solutions: Students, postgraduates together with teachers work on the creation of innovative solutions and software products that help to improve the management of energy consumption in various areas, including industry, construction, transport and household consumers.
- Energy conservation and sustainability: Within the framework of the conducted research, various approaches to reducing energy consumption are studied, which contributes to the spread of various energy conservation practices. Approaches to sustainable energy production from RES and consumption management are also being explored.
- Environmental component: In this direction, members of the circle seek to increase environmental awareness and responsibility in the energy industry, popularizing green technologies and helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
- Research: Members of the circle are actively engaged in scientific research in the field of information technology and energy, publishing their results and participating in scientific conferences and projects.

The circle of the scientific direction "Digital Electric Power" carries out the following tasks:
1. Participation of students of higher education in the GDR and the implementation of fundamental scientific research in research works carried out by the unit.
2. Issuing and obtaining patents for inventions, utility models and copyright registration certificates.
3. Preparation and publication in specialized publications of categories A and B and publications indexed by scientific-metric databases.
4. Preparation and participation of students of higher education in all-university, all-Ukrainian, international conferences, Olympiads, competitions, etc.
