DESCRIPTION OF THE EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM

The study professional program "Energy Management and Energy Efficient Technologies" has been implemented at the first (bachelor's) level of higher education within the specialty 141 "Electrical Energetics, Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics" at the Department of Power Supply of the Educational and Research Institute of Energy Saving and Energy Management, since 2018. The development of the SPP was caused by the need to train highly qualified specialists to solve modern urgent problems of electrical engineering in the field of power supply systems. For many years, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute has been one of the leading universities that trains specialists and helds researches in the fields of electrical and electromechanical systems with an emphasis on electricity distribution systems.

The project group consisting of leading teachers of the Department of Power Supply developed the SPP, taking into account the long-standing traditions, experience and specifics initiated during the training of specialists in energy management, energy audit, modern energy-efficient systems and technologies, as well as taking into account the experience of teaching similar programs in domestic and foreign universities.

The purpose of the study professional program is to train specialists capable of solving complex tasks and problems and carrying out innovative professional activities in the field of energy management and energy efficiency in the industrial, commercial and municipal spheres, including the development and implementation of energy management systems; select and determine energy efficiency indicators; evaluate, predict and verify the amount of energy saving in projects, companies and territorial communities; participate in energy audits of technological processes, buildings, industrial transport, as well as in the development, justification and implementation of energy efficiency measures in them in the context of sustainable innovative scientific and technological development of society and transformation of the labor market through interaction with employers and other stakeholders. In accordance with the University's Development Strategy for 2021-2025, considerable attention is paid to strengthening interaction with the labor market and with customers of technical products and services, which ensures further improvement of the educational program.

The program is aimed at the formation of such competencies of higher education applicants that make possible their comprehensive professional, scientific, intellectual and social development in the field of energy management and energy efficiency in the industrial, commercial and communal spheres.

The uniqueness of this educational and professional program is that it is aimed at thorough fundamental training in combination with modern professional training in the field of energy management and energy efficiency in the industrial, commercial and municipal spheres, which provides competitive professional activities in the development and implementation of energy management systems; selection and determination of energy efficiency indicators; evaluation, forecasting and verification of energy saving volumes in projects, companies and territorial communities; participation in energy audits of technological processes, buildings, industrial transport, as well as in the development, justification and implementation of energy efficiency measures in them.

Specialists from other organizations and educational institutions are involved in the teaching of academic disciplines; the practice of applicants is carried out in the industries of the industry; mastering additional fundamental and professionally oriented disciplines ensures the acquisition of the necessary competencies for further professional activity; applicants take part in student scientific circles; The program provides applicants with the opportunity to freely choose academic disciplines according to the profile of the department; some elective educational components can be taught in English; training under the certificate program "Energy Audit and Energy Efficiency Certification" is provided; the possibility of training foreign students at the Center for International Education of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute is declared.
