In the laboratory of control and management of energy use modes, research is carried out on the topics of solving the problem of energy saving - the organization of operational control and accounting of the costs of energy resources in general and electrical energy in particular. Such control is possible only with the use of modern automated electricity accounting systems, and the introduction of modern microprocessor meters, thanks to their high accuracy of 0.2S and 0.5S, allows obtaining more reliable information about electricity consumption. And this means accurate determination of balances, finding losses and identifying unaccounted consumers. This alone can save up to 2-5% of the electricity consumption.
In the process of performing laboratory work, students acquire practical knowledge on ensuring the functioning of energy management systems and efficient use of electrical energy, implementing energy-efficient methods and technologies in accordance with the best global practices. The ability to choose, depending on the technical task for the construction of ASOE, a complex of technical means and mathematical methods for processing measured data; select and program microprocessor relay protection devices.
Methods of managing energy use modes using automated energy accounting systems are also studied.
